SEMINOLE – It’s been a busy year in Seminole, Mark Ely, community development director, told the City Council while updating the panel on development projects in the city at its Dec. 20 meeting. “The city is committed to supporting development and redevelopment projects that will increase the quality of life of residents and visitors of the city of Seminole,” Ely said. The biggest project, of course, is the redevelopment of the former Seminole Mall into the Seminole City Center, a 40-acre outdoor mall, he said. The project, which will be completed by this summer, “is coming along swimmingly and it’s looking really nice,” Ely added.
