Today was a big day in Center City, Philadelphia. On the corner of Broad and Walnut Street, crowds of people and local news media, including some of our C&P Philly teamgathered to watch Mayor Michael Nutter and Wawa CEO, Chris Gheysens cut the ribbon and officially open the store. Ribbon Cutting
Between the Eagles Cheerleaders and Pep Band, the Hoagies for Heroes competition and a slightly changed up version of the popular song ‘Watch Me (Whip/Wawa)’ (check out WawaSnaps on Snapchat to see more), there was a lively and positive energy throughout the event.
C&P Principal, Wess Luke noted, “The general feel of the crowd was pride, that the project was open ahead of schedule and in time for the Pope’s visit. Also, pride in the design; it’s such a high end feel, which makes sense because Wawa is more than just a convenience store.” We love our relationship with Wawa and look forward to continuing to support them and celebrate achievements like this Flagship store for years to come!
