A grand opening celebration was held Jan. 23 for the new Bridgewater Park senior community, which is located next to On Top of the World Communities, Inc.
The complex offers an aging-in-place campus, which includes skilled nursing and rehabilitation, assisted living and memory care. Future offering will include independent living facilities, medical and health care offices, and other ancillary, amenities and services.
Approximately 400 guests attended the grand opening, which included the West Port High School Jazz band and a presentation of flags by the school’s color guard.
Gary Ott, president/CEO of TLC Management welcomed guests and residents, along with Ken Colon, president of On Top of the World Communities, and Kevin Shielly, president/CEO of the Ocala/Marion County Chamber and Economic Partnership.
The celebration followed four years of development and construction by Edwards Construction, Tillman Associates Engineering and TLC Management, which anticipates that Bridgewater communities will boost employment within Marion County by creating more than 400 new jobs when the campus is fully developed.
