Co-Founder (Retired)

I hire people brighter than me and then I get out of their way — Lee Iacocca, Ford

Lonnie Peterson co-founded Cuhaci & Peterson Architects in 1978 originally as a branch office of Cuhaci & Associates based Ottawa, Canada. He began the firm as a one main shop in Orlando, Florida and worked to grow the firm over the years. Eventually he bought out Ed Cuhaci and established the employee owned firm C&P is today. Currently C&P employs over 225+ people with offices in 3 states.

As well as creating many long lasting client relationships, Lonnie has also formed lasting bonds with the C&P team. He believes in “hiring good people, teaching them and getting out of their way”. In addition to being AIA and LEED accredited Lonnie functions as a mentor with C&P and participates in numerous industry events with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). However, Lonnie is not all work and no fun. He enjoys wood working, hiking and other outdoor activities like biking. In fact, he was named a “Champion” by the American Diabetes Association for his fundraising work with Tour de Cure in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
